Every business starts somewhere. The owner, Michael Crossley recently founded MC^2, but that doesn’t mean we are learning as we go. Michael began building sheds after graduating high school 1998 where he spent six years working for a family-owned shed company building both wooden and metal sheds, garages, carports and shops, in Northern California. He would spend the next six years working in concrete construction before going back to college to pursue a business degree from California State University, East Bay. After graduating, Michael went on to become the Regional Manager for a national construction firm that specializes in tensile fabric shade structures. Working directly with engineers, architects, project managers, inspectors and more is enjoyable and has taught him the management side of the business, but it didn’t fulfill his desire to build.
In 2021, Michael decided it was time to put his garage full of tools back to good use and pursue the American dream, to start a small business. He would spend the next year saving, planning, and seeking the advice of mentors to put a plan in action. He reenrolled in a construction management course at UC Davis, obtained his Washington State contractor's license and moved his family to western Washington where they had always dreamed of settling/establishing themselves.
The core values that Michael established the company on is being able to be proud of every project. That is why he decided on the name MC^2, which combines his love for science and Michael Crossley Construction. He chose to attach his name to the brand, because it shows his commitment to the speed at which we handle what matters to you.
