Marysville has the strictest shed size limit in Zone 1 — only 120 square feet without a permit, compared to 200 in most neighboring cities. But the real catch is design standards: your shed's roof pitch, siding, and roofing materials must match your home. No metal siding or roofing unless your house already has it. The Community Development Director can approve exceptions — or impose stricter requirements. If you're outside city limits, Snohomish County rules are more generous.
